Job summary

Kier Group in Rickmansworth is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the Thames Water Framework team at Maple Lodge. The role focuses on cost control, budgets, and ensuring value for money across water infrastructure projects.

You will oversee contract administration under IChemE Burgundy Book, lead procurement, manage payments to subcontractors, and mentor a commercial team across multiple projects. 45 hours per week with some flexibility; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying, construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Excellent numeracy and financial management skills.
• Experience with standard contracts and cost control processes.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Experience coordinating and managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Managing cost control, budgets, and monthly cost value reconciliations and forecasts.
• Overseeing contract administration and implementing the obligations under the IChemE Burgundy Book.
• Leading procurement processes, including preparing tender documents and evaluating bids.
• Managing payments to subcontractors and monthly applications to the client.
• Mentoring and supporting a commercial team across multiple projects.
