Job summary

Kier Group in Rickmansworth is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the Thames Water Framework team at Maple Lodge. The role focuses on cost control, budgets, and ensuring value for money across water infrastructure projects.

You will oversee contract administration under IChemE Burgundy Book, lead procurement, manage payments to subcontractors, and mentor a commercial team across multiple projects. 45 hours per week with some flexibility; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

Job description

We're looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Thames Water Framework team based in Maple Lodge, Rickmansworth.

Location: Maple Lodge, Rickmansworth

Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Thames Water Framework team, overseeing commercial project management across multiple water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working under an Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) Burgundy Book contract, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance whilst helping to deliver projects that maintain and improve vital public services.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, You'll Be Working Within The Thames Water Framework Team, Supporting Them In Delivering Critical Water Infrastructure Projects. Your Day To Day Will Include

  • Managing cost control, preparing budgets, and producing monthly cost value reconciliations and forecasts
  • Overseeing contract administration and implementing the obligations under the IChemE Burgundy Book
  • Leading procurement processes, including preparing tender documents and evaluating bids
  • Managing payments to subcontractors and monthly applications to the client
  • Mentoring and supporting a commercial team across multiple projects
