Job summary

Kier Group plc. in Oxfordshire is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Water Framework team on our Horton-Cum-Studley WTW and Thame WTW sites.

You will support commercial management during the construction phase and work with the wider team to deliver on budget and schedule. The role requires a construction-related degree, a full driving licence, and prior contractor experience, ideally with MEP exposure and multiple contract forms.

Qualifications

• You hold a relevant academic qualification in a Construction related degree.
• You hold a Full driving licence.
• You have prior experience working in a commercial role for a contractor, ideally with MEP exposure.
• You have experience working with a variety of contract forms.
• You have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with procurement strategies, including managing subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
• Managing valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts with monthly cost reports.
• Providing legal and contractual advice on orders, changes, and subcontractor administration.
• Driving commercial initiatives and producing margin improvement plans to maximize opportunities.
• Leading and supporting junior staff, ensuring workload targets and deadlines are successfully met.
