Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for the Thames Water Framework team based at Maple Lodge STW, Rickmansworth. The role offers hybrid working with travel to the office/site at least 3 days a week.

You will support cost control, subcontract management and commercial reporting on a £200m+ infrastructure project, with clear progression paths to Senior QS. Ideal candidates will have QS experience on civil projects, strong numerical skills and proficiency in MS Excel and related tools.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant QS or QS on civil engineering, utilities, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail and good organisational abilities.
• Proficient in cost reporting, subcontract procurement and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supporting cost control and financial reporting, including preparing cost reports, measuring works, and assisting with monthly valuations.
• Managing subcontract activities from enquiry through to payment, maintaining accurate records and supporting tender analysis.
• Assisting with change management by identifying, recording and valuing variations with supporting documentation.
• Contributing to commercial reporting and maintaining clear, organised records in line with governance requirements.
• Collaborating with engineering, operations and planning teams to ensure accurate information gathering and successful package delivery.
