Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the STEP Programme team based in West Burton, with some hybrid working. You will be responsible for package proposals and delivery as these are secured by Kier Nuvia JV, contributing to long-term commercial success and value for money.

This role requires experience on major infrastructure/energy projects, NEC4 contracts, cost planning and strong stakeholder engagement, with a focus on risk management and procurement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in major infrastructure, energy, nuclear, defence or complex construction projects.
• Experience managing complex subcontract procurement and commercial package management.
• Thorough understanding of the NEC suite of contracts.
• Strong cost planning, forecasting and reporting capability with negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting delivery of programme commercial objectives, profitability targets, cost certainty and cash performance.
• Administering NEC4 contracts including compensation events, quotations, early warnings and change control.
• Managing subcontractors from procurement to final account, including tender documentation and collaboration.
• Developing and maintaining detailed cost forecasts, cost-to-complete assessments and reports.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities across packages.
