Job summary

Kier is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the KNJV within the STEP programme at West Burton. You will deliver commercial leadership, manage cost forecasts and ensure value for money on complex projects.

You will administer NEC4 contracts, manage subcontractors, and mentor junior staff while safeguarding profitability and cash flow. The role offers a flexible approach to hours within a demanding infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in major infrastructure, energy, nuclear, defence, or complex construction projects.
• Experience in managing complex subcontract procurement and commercial package management.
• Thorough understanding of the NEC suite of contracts.
• Strong cost planning, forecasting, and reporting skills with negotiation ability.
• Ability to think strategically, manage risk, and build stakeholder relationships.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering package proposals and ensuring exceptional value for money management. Your contributions will help maximize profitability, improve cash flow, and manage commercial risks while fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
