Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the STEP Programme based at West Burton with hybrid working. You will manage commercial objectives, cost control, and contract administration within NEC4 frameworks, delivering profitable outcomes for the programme.

You will lead subcontract procurement, produce cost forecasts and performance reports, and identify risks and opportunities across packages while supporting project teams and ensuring governance compliance.

Qualifications

Experience as a Senior QS on major infrastructure/energy/defence projects.
Experience managing complex subcontract procurement and commercial packages.
Strong understanding of the NEC contracts suite.
Excellent cost planning, forecasting and reporting capabilities.
Ability to manage risk, change and contractual entitlement in a structured, auditable way.

Responsibilities

Support delivery of commercial objectives, profitability targets and cash performance across the programme.
Administer NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings and notices.
Manage subcontractors from procurement through to final account, fostering collaborative relationships.
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, whilst mentoring junior team members.
Develop and maintain detailed cost forecasts and performance reports.
