Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for our Stepps/Hybrid team near Glasgow. You will lead commercial oversight from tender to final account, coordinating with stakeholders to keep projects on budget and high standards.

You will mentor junior members and share expertise across the business. The role demands experience with Tier 1 projects, NEC3/4 and JCT/SBCC contracts, and strong negotiation and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Experience with Tier 1 contractors.
• Strong NEC3/4 and JCT/SBCC contracts knowledge.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial input into bid submissions and manage cost planning across projects.
• Prepare and manage subcontractor contracts and tender packages.
• Monitor costs, valuations, applications and payments against budget.
• Identify and manage commercial risks, variations and compensation events.
• Mentor junior staff and share expertise across the business.
