Job summary

Stafforce-Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Loughborough to join a steel fabrication specialist on a full-time permanent basis. Salary £50,000–£55,000 per annum, 39 hours per week, with responsibilities across commercial and financial management of contracts.

The role focuses on monitoring costs, providing commercial support to the rail division, and ensuring timely and accurate financial data. NEC/JCT experience and CSCS are advantageous for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction and steel quantity surveying, including NEC and JCT contracts.
• Ideally CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
• Hold a relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must be well organised with good time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide QS support and services to the Contract and Project managers.
• Assist Contract and Project Managers in the application and development of contract programmes.
• Ensure activity schedules and application dates are understood and followed in line with the contract requirements.
• Administer valuations and the pricing of variations.
• Chase agreement on prices.
• Ensure applications are completed on time with Commercial Manager and Contract/Project Manager
• Liaise with other departments within the Company.
• Liaise and negotiate with the client and members of the professional team.
• Understand the implications of the Health & Safety Regulations.
• Attend meetings, both internally and externally, to support commercial requirements.
