Job summary

Stafforce Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our well-established client in Loughborough on a full-time, permanent basis.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the Contract and Project Manager team with all aspects of commercial and financial management, monitoring, recording and analysing costs and resources and enhancing the value of contracts through effective financial control. Experience within the steelwork industry is crucial.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction and steel quantity surveying, including NEC and JCT contracts.
• CSCS is desirable.
• Hold a relevant quantity surveying qualification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well organised with good time management.
• Accurate and methodical approach to financial and commercial data.
• Basic understanding of wider construction processes.
• Good proficiency with Excel, Word and Microsoft Project.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide QS support to Contract and Project Managers.
• Assist in development of contract programmes and schedules.
• Ensure activity schedules and dates align with contract requirements.
• Administer valuations and price variations.
• Report anomalies on client accounts to management.
• Maintain cost value reconciliations (profit and loss).
• Monitor job costs against quotes and raise issues.
• Assist with procurement and liaise with purchasing.
• Negotiate prices and ensure timely applications.
• Prepare final accounts information for Commercial Manager.
