Job summary

Rogers McHugh Recruitment in South Manchester is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial management of multiple projects across the North West, from procurement through to final account.

The role requires a Quantity Surveying related degree and typically around 10 years of experience, with a strong grasp of JCT contracts and the ability to manage several projects concurrently, including occasional travel across the North West.

Qualifications

• You will need a Quantity Surveying related degree.
• Ideally around 10 years of industry experience.
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts and subcontracts.
• Experience procuring, subcontractor management, valuations, variations, forecasting and cost reporting.
• Experience managing the commercial requirements of several projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for a number of construction projects across the North West.
• Manage procurement and subcontract packages, deal with valuations and variations, monitor project costs and produce accurate forecasts and cost reports.
• Work with JCT contracts and subcontracts and ensure the commercial position of each project is well managed throughout its lifecycle.
• Be organized and able to move between different schemes while maintaining clear commercial understanding across projects.
• Collaborate closely with operational teams, subcontractors and clients to support full commercial delivery.
