Job summary

Rogers McHugh is actively seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Warrington. The role will involve taking commercial responsibility for one or two projects from pre-construction through to final account, with close collaboration with estimating and operations teams to ensure projects are delivered to plan.

Qualifications

• Around 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience delivering commercial newbuild projects such as industrial units, hotels, offices, public buildings and care homes.
• Experience managing the commercial process from procurement through to final account.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial performance of one or two construction projects.
• Procuring subcontract packages and managing subcontractor accounts.
• Preparing CVRs, forecasts and cost reports.
• Managing applications, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks.
• Liaising with site teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors throughout the construction phase.
• Ensuring projects are delivered in line with commercial objectives.
