Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on infrastructure projects across energy and utilities. Based in the UK, you will drive cost control, reporting and contract administration, while supporting operational teams and improving profitability.

You will oversee payments, CVRs and cost-to-complete reporting, manage change control and subcontractor relations, and mentor junior staff as part of a growing commercial team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong commercial management and contract administration experience.
• Experience managing costs, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of subcontractor management and change control.
• Experience working on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• HV/LV infrastructure experience would be advantageous.
• DNO or private networks experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial delivery of projects from start to completion.
• Overseeing applications for payment and credit control processes.
• Managing cost control, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Preparing and reviewing CVRs and cost-to-complete reports.
• Managing change control, variations and compensation events.
• Overseeing subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
• Providing commercial advice and support to project teams.
• Managing contractual disputes and supporting resolution.
• Contributing to tendering and contract review processes.
• Supporting and developing junior members of the commercial team.
