Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major depot project in East London. You will own the commercial lifecycle for a significant package, coordinating with Project and Commercial teams to maximise value and control costs.

The role requires strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor, a background in civil engineering or infrastructure, and solid NEC contract knowledge. You will manage subcontractor relationships and contribute to project strategy.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Background in civil engineering, infrastructure or major construction projects.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge.
• Confident managing subcontractors and commercial negotiations.
• Good understanding of cost control, forecasting and change management.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with a project team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of allocated packages.
• Lead valuations, applications, variations and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts and financial performance.
• Manage subcontract procurement and commercial relationships.
• Identify and maximise commercial opportunities.
• Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure commercial performance.
• Support the wider commercial team and contribute to project strategy.
