Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on major infrastructure projects. You will handle pre- and post-contract activities, cost control, NEC contract administration and procurement support.

The role offers hybrid working, ongoing professional development and opportunities to contribute to client relationships and project leadership across highways, rail, energy, and utilities sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline.
• Experience in infrastructure or similar construction enviroment.
• Strong understanding of pre- and post-contract commercial management.
• Experience administering NEC contracts.
• Knowledge of CESMM and highway measurement methods.
• Experience preparing procurement docs and ITT packages.
• Able to manage projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services on infrastructure projects.
• Manage project costs, budgets, and commercial risks.
• Administer NEC contracts and advise on contractual matters.
• Prepare cost estimates, commercial reports, and financial assessments.
• Develop procurement strategies and tender documentation (ITT).
• Support tender assessments, procurement processes and contract negotiations.
• Apply measurement methods (CESMM, highway standards).
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost efficiencies.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to client development.
