Job summary

Rogers McHugh is seeking a confident Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for three to four live groundworks and civil engineering projects, typically valued between £1m and £15m. You will manage cost control, valuations, variations and final accounts, monitoring budgets and cash flow while reporting to the Commercial Director.

Based in Banbury with regional projects, you will work closely with site teams and clients, ensuring numbers reflect reality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks or civil engineering.
• Experience managing costs on live residential infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to produce interim valuations, manage variations and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for three to four live groundworks and civil engineering projects (£1m–£15m).
• Manage cost control, subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow and forecasts, reporting into the Commercial Director.
• Work closely with site teams to ensure numbers reflect reality and engage with clients professionally.
