Job summary

Kenton Black Limited is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor for a flagship data centre project in Northumberland. You will manage commercial delivery across substations, power infrastructure and related packages, coordinating with clients, consultants and supply chain.

Ideal candidates bring senior QS or MQS experience with major projects, including substation/civil works; data centre and critical power exposure is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Substation and critical power project experience is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of major substation and infrastructure packages.
• Subcontract procurement and management.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Change management and valuations.
• Commercial risk and opportunity management.
• Contract administration.
• Subcontractor negotiations.
• Final accounts and commercial close-out.
• Supporting and developing junior commercial team members where appropriate.
