Job summary

Kenton Black is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist contractor on a flagship data centre project in Northumberland. You will take responsibility for commercial delivery on major substation and infrastructure packages.

The role requires experience with large-scale projects, subcontract management, cost reporting and change management, with a car allowance and bonus on offer. This is a key, long-term opportunity within a growing contractor.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 contractor or similarly established specialist contractor.
• Experience delivering major construction or infrastructure projects with commercial oversight.
• Substation and critical power experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of major substation and infrastructure packages.
• Subcontract procurement and management.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Change management and valuations.
• Commercial risk and opportunity management.
• Contract administration and subcontractor negotiations.
• Final accounts and commercial close-out.
• Support and development of junior commercial team members.
