Job summary

Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor is sought for a major data centre project in Northumberland. You will lead commercial delivery of large-scale MEP packages, ensuring cost control and contractual compliance across the project lifecycle.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will manage valuations, payments, procurement, variations, and final accounts while coordinating with project teams and stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget. Mentoring junior staff is also expected.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified QS with ME&P package experience.
• Proven track record on major construction projects.
• Strong cost control and contractual/commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of MEP packages.
• Prepare valuations, payments, and cost reports.
• Procurement and subcontractor management for MEP works.
• Negotiate variations and settle accounts with subcontractors.
• Forecast cash flow and manage commercial risks.
