Job summary

Kenton Black is seeking a permanent Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team in Dundee. The role oversees the commercial team, cost management, contracts, and financial reporting across large-scale projects with hybrid working arrangements.

The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a senior QS, strong knowledge of cost management and contracts, and ideally a Quantity Surveying degree. Opportunity for progression and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Senior quantity surveyor with 3+ years' construction experience.
• Strong cost management, contracts, and dispute resolution knowledge.
• Prefer degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Proven track record delivering projects within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage costs from estimates to final figures.
• Prepare and review contract documents.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress.
• Provide input on cost-effective, compliant solutions.
• Monitor and control project budgets.
• Handle variations, claims, and disputes.
• Produce progress reports, forecasts, updates.
• Mentor junior quantity surveyors.
