Job summary

EGIS is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a site-based team in Assington, Suffolk. You will support project managers with commercial contracts, procurement, and risk management, ensuring cost control and timely payments across a portfolio of high-voltage/energy projects.

You will work within NEC3/NEC4 frameworks (and occasionally FIDIC) and travel as needed. Strong Excel/Outlook skills and a driving licence are essential to coordinate with clients and subcontractors on site.

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial aspects of projects using NEC3/NEC4 or FIDIC contracts.
• Strong cost control, cashflow and reporting on multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel and possess driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external parties.
• Support project team in commercial contracts and risk management.
• Undertaken procurement activities including tender enquiries and award recommendations.
• Support PM with Early Warnings, Compensation Events and PMI communications.
• Responsible for cost assurance and payment applications.
• Provide contract and risk management support in meetings.
• Monitor expenditure against budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare and maintain cost reporting for stakeholders.
• Assist in compiling commercial/contractual responses.
• Attend financial and progress meetings with clients and subcontractors.
• Ensure programmes are realistic and compliant with requirements.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and client policies.
• Regular site visits to review contractor progress and payments.
