Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support project managers and clients from concept through delivery and financial close on UK energy infrastructure projects. You will ensure commercial governance, contract administration, and value for money across NEC3/NEC4 contracts.

Based on site in Assington, Suffolk, this full-time role involves cost reporting, risk management, cashflow forecasting, and collaboration with subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Must be a self-starter and able to work remotely from management.
• Experience with NEC and FIDIC forms of contract is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have own car with full driving licence and be willing to travel for company business.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties.
• Support the project team in establishing commercial contracts and providing risk management guidance.
• Undertaken procurement activities for the company and clients, including tendering and analysis.
• Support in Early Warnings (EW), Compensation Events (CE) and PMI communications.
• Responsible for cost assurance activities and ensuring payment adequacy.
• Provide contract and risk management support including risk reduction meetings.
• Monitor and report expenditure against budgets and forecasts.
• Seek to minimise project costs while maintaining standards and quality.
• Prepare and maintain cashflow forecasts and cost reporting for stakeholders.
• Assist to avoid disputes with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Contribute to commercial responses to the client and subcontractors.
