Job summary

Egis, via its Omnia Projects division, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support project managers and clients from concept through to financial close. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to manage commercial aspects to high standards, using NEC3/NEC4 and occasional FIDIC contracts.

Based in the UK, the role is hybrid on site in Murton, with full-time hours. A strong focus on cost control, risk management, and stakeholder communication is essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Self-starter, capable of working remote from management.
• Experience on high voltage substation construction projects desired.
• Experience with NEC and FIDIC forms of contract.
• Proficient with MS Outlook and MS Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Driver with full licence and willingness to travel for company business.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties.
• Support project team in establishing commercial contracts and providing risk guidance.
• Undertake procurement activities including tendering and analysis.
• Support Project Manager in early warnings, compensation events, and PMIs.
• Manage cost assurance activities and payment applications.
• Provide contract and risk management support in risk reduction meetings.
• Monitor expenditure and report against budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare cashflow forecasts and cost reporting for stakeholders.
• Assist in avoiding disputes with clients and subcontractors.
