Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a long-term project in the Glasgow area, primarily based from the Glasgow City Centre office with occasional site travel to Helensburgh.

The role covers all commercial and contractual matters on the site, leading surveyors and coordinating with the Commercial Manager on complex projects, ensuring on-time valuations and detailed reporting.

Qualifications

• Adequate experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying and relevant experience obtained.
• An accredited course by RICS, CIOB or ICES.
• Candidates must be British National due to security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review Main Contract conditions and advise on risk and scope areas.
• Review sub-contract packages and ensure proper incorporation.
• Ensure monthly valuations and commercial reports are produced on time.
• Maintain accurate site records and cost-to-date analyses.
• Manage subcontract payments based on valuation and compliance with contracts.
• Develop and monitor programme awareness and warranty tracking.
