Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for the East Hyde STW project based in East Hyde, Bedfordshire. The role focuses on cost control, procurement, and contractual compliance within the commercial team.

You will lead procurement, manage subcontract accounts and support a team of Quantity Surveyors. The role requires collaboration across disciplines and a drive to deliver successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Academic qualification in a construction related degree.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Experience in a commercial role for a contractor.
• Experience with a variety of contract forms.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities including tender evaluation, recommendation and subcontract award.
• Administer subcontract accounts, valuations, change events and final accounts.
• Provide leadership, support and mentoring to Quantity Surveyors within the project team.
• Manage project change, risk and opportunity while ensuring contractual compliance.
• Contribute to commercial reporting including CVR, forecasting and cashflow management.

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our East Hyde STWProject team based in East Hyde, Bedfordshire.

45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes through proactive cost, risk and contract management. Your day to day will include:

• Leading procurement activities including tender evaluation, recommendation and subcontract award
• Administering subcontract accounts, valuations, change events and final accounts
• Providing leadership, support and mentoring to Quantity Surveyors within the project team
• Managing project change, risk and opportunity while ensuring contractual compliance
• Contributing to commercial reporting including CVR, forecasting and cashflow management
