Job summary

Kier Group's East Hyde STW Project team in East Hyde is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities on site in Bedfordshire. The role focuses on cost, risk and contract management to help deliver successful project outcomes.

You will mentor Quantity Surveyors, manage procurement and change events, and contribute to CVR, forecasting and cashflow reporting while working closely with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• A construction related degree is required.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Experience in a commercial role for a contractor is preferred.
• Experience with a variety of contract forms.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities including tender evaluation, recommendation and subcontract award.
• Administer subcontract accounts, valuations, change events and final accounts.
• Provide leadership, support and mentoring to Quantity Surveyors within the project team.
• Manage project change, risk and opportunity while ensuring contractual compliance.
• Contribute to commercial reporting including CVR, forecasting and cashflow management.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes through proactive cost, risk and contract management. Your day to day will include:

• Leading procurement activities including tender evaluation, recommendation and subcontract award
• Administering subcontract accounts, valuations, change events and final accounts
• Providing leadership, support and mentoring to Quantity Surveyors within the project team
• Managing project change, risk and opportunity while ensuring contractual compliance
• Contributing to commercial reporting including CVR, forecasting and cashflow management
