A growing and well-established main contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team in the North East.

With a strong pipeline of secured work across a range of commercial construction projects, this is an excellent opportunity to take the commercial lead on your own schemes while working within a supportive and ambitious business. You'll be responsible for managing the full commercial lifecycle of projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure successful delivery and strong financial performance.

The Role

• Lead the commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
• Manage procurement, subcontractor packages, valuations, variations and cost reporting.
• Monitor project performance and ensure commercial targets are achieved.
• Prepare and present accurate forecasts, financial reports and cash flow projections.
• Work closely with site and project management teams to drive project success.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Support and mentor junior commercial team members where required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, or a Quantity Surveyor ready to step up.
• Proven track record working for a main contractor on commercial construction projects.
• Experience acting as the commercial lead on projects.
