Job summary

Caval Limited is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing construction team in the North East. You will take commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through final account, ensuring strong financial control and commercial performance.

We are seeking an experienced QS with knowledge of contracts, cost management, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, cost management and commercial processes.
• Commercially driven with strong attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of multiple construction projects.
• Prepare and manage budgets, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and accounts.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, cash flow and profitability.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Review contracts and provide commercial advice to the project team.
• Work closely with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide clear commercial reporting to senior management.
