Ignite Talent Group Ltd is recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established North East construction business. The role oversees commercial management on major projects, typically £20m+, from procurement through final accounts.
The candidate will have proven experience with CVRs, forecasting, subcontract management, variations and final accounts, and a strong grasp of JCT contracts.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor to join an established and highly regarded construction business, based from their North East office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong QS to join a business with a long-standing reputation for delivering some of the region's most significant construction projects.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of commercially managing projects valued at £20m+, with the technical ability and confidence to take ownership of complex projects and work closely with the wider operational and commercial teams.
You’ll be responsible for the commercial management of major construction projects, taking ownership of the financial performance from procurement through to final account.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on major construction projects across the North East, with project values typically in the £20m+ range.
The scale and complexity of the projects means this is a role suited to a QS who is already comfortable operating at a senior level and has experience managing significant commercial packages.
We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor who is commercially astute, confident and capable of operating on large-scale projects.
You’ll need to be comfortable getting into the detail of project costs, managing subcontractors, producing accurate CVRs, forecasting and dealing with contractual matters.
A proven background working for a main contractor would be highly advantageous, alongside strong JCT experience and a track record of successfully managing projects above £20m.
