Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is delivering a major expansion programme in Derby and seeks an experienced Senior Quality Manager to lead the project quality team and uphold high quality standards across all activities. You will shape and maintain the project quality strategy, ensuring conformity with contractual requirements and Balfour Beatty's processes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior quality management role within the construction or nuclear industry.
• Experience working on complex, technically demanding projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, assurance and control processes.
• Experience managing quality teams and working across multidisciplinary project environments.
• Experience managing subcontractor and supply chain quality performance.
• Strong understanding of inspection, testing, non-conformance and corrective action processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to influence project teams and drive a positive quality culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project quality team, providing direction, support and technical leadership.
• Develop, implement and maintain the project Quality Management Plan and associated quality processes.
• Ensure quality requirements are clearly understood and embedded across the project.
• Work closely with project and construction teams to promote a right-first-time approach.
• Monitor quality performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead the implementation of inspection and test plans, quality control procedures and assurance activities.
• Ensure works are inspected, tested and documented in accordance with project requirements.
