Job summary

Kenna Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a £200m data centre development in Borehamwood. Kicking off in January, this high-tech scheme offers a long-term lifecycle and a salary up to £110,000.

This role involves taking commercial ownership from pre-construction through final accounts, managing sub-contractor packages, and driving profitability on a flagship infrastructure project.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is required.
• Proven experience as a Senior QS with a Tier-1 or Tier-2 main contractor.
• Experience in data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, or M&E-heavy projects is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation skills and contractual awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial aspects of a £200m hyper-scale project.
• Oversee procurement, sub-contract management, and variations.
• Drive detailed cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Mitigate risk while maximizing project profitability.
• Mentor and develop junior commercial staff on-site.
