Job summary

Leonardo seeks an experienced Risk Manager to support governance and continuous improvement of Project Risk Management within a Line of Business in the Electronics Division. You will be the local subject matter expert delivering independent oversight, assurance and challenge across IPTs to ensure timely, accurate risk information and informed decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical or business subject.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise and project risk management frameworks.
• Significant experience in project or programme risk management.
• Highly numerate with experience of statistical and financial modelling (Monte Carlo).
• Sound understanding of contingency setting and management aligned to risk exposure.
• Experience translating complex risk information into clear, decision‑focused insight.
• High competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders.
• Ability to lead workshops and present technical details to large teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight and constructive challenge to ensure compliance with risk management policies and governance.
• Contribute to RM framework definition, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Support IPTs to identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities with clear risk information.
• Advise on risk treatment and mitigation strategies.
• Analyse residual risk using Monte Carlo analysis to inform decisions and forecasts.
• Support contingency setting and escalation as needed.
• Produce risk reports with timely, decision‑focused insights.
• Analyse risk trends across projects and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor Project Risk Managers and promote knowledge sharing.
• Analyse processes for collecting risk data to ensure data quality.
