Job summary

GNA Group in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee retrofit and capital works within social housing refurbishment programmes in Yorkshire. The role focuses on delivering multiple projects to time, cost and quality, with a site-based leadership responsibility.

You will manage site teams, coordinate resources, liaise with clients and supply chain, and ensure compliance with CDM and H&S.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable construction project management experience ideally SHF/energy efficient works and Retrofit/Capital Works programmes.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand programmes, drawings, schedules and specifications.
• Proven ability to develop operating procedures and maintain standards.
• Comfortable producing progress updates for the client meetings and internal reviews.
• Commercially aware, able to work alongside the commercial team and challenge others to meet deadlines.
• Full working knowledge of H&S and Environmental legislation including CDM regulations.
• CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate.
• Role requires CSCS card and a minimum Level 4 qualification (NVQ4 or HNC).
• First Aid at work certificate and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate an operational team (Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and CLOs).
• Organise and review works schedules, including resources, materials and supply chain requirements.
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Establish quality standards on site and ensure delivery meets specifications.
• Mitigate risks when working in occupied premises.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project team and contractors.
• Develop strong relationships with supply chain, client representatives and consultants.
• Plan cost-effective use of resources and forecast requirements against budget.
• Ensure resources are adequate and team competency is maintained.
• Secure repeat business through client relationship management.
• Monitor work to agreed preliminaries budget.
• Identify risks and implement contingency planning.

Senior Project Manager

£65,000 per year plus car allowance OR company car

The Role:

Due to our continued success here, we are delighted to confirm that we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. Based in Sheffield tis role involves working with a large social housing provider on retrofit projects in the Yorkshire regions (including, Sheffield, Scarborough and Liverpool).

The overall objective of the Senior Project Manager will be to organise and manage the delivery of multiple projects in-line with the contract requirement.

This will be working Retrofit / Capital Works social housing refurbishment programmes across the Yorkshire region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor the safe and effective delivery of Capital Works and Retrofit social housing refurbishment programmes.
• Lead and motivate an operational team (Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and CLO's).
• Organise and review works schedules, including resources, materials and supply chain requirements
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
• Establish standards of quality on site and ensure delivery of a build in accordance with the specification and project requirements
• Follow procedures to mitigate risks of complaints when working in or around occupied premises.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project team and contractors.
• Engage and develop excellent relationships with supply chain, client representatives and consultants.
• Plan cost effective use of resources and forecast resource requirements in line with budget and projected works
• Ensure resources are adequate and competency of the team for the works involved
• Securing strong relationships with the client to ensure the potential for follow on works
• Monitor work to agreed preliminaries budget.
• Identify risk and put in place appropriate contingency planning

What You Will Need

Essential:

• Demonstrable Construction Project Management ideally SHF/energy efficient works and Retrofit/Capital Works programmes.
• Ability to read interpret and understand programmes, drawings, schedules and specifications
• Proven ability to work to and develop operating procedures.
• Comfortable producing progress updates for the client in preparation for client meetings & internal reviews.
• To be commercially aware, comfortable working alongside the commercial team, confident in challenging others and ensuring programme deadlines are achieved.
• Full working knowledge of H&S and Environmental legislation including but not restricted to the CDM regulations
• A valid CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate
• Minimum level 4 qualification (NVQ4 or HNC)
• Role Appropriate CSCS card
• First Aid at work certificate
• Valid driver's license
