Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is recruiting a Projects Manager for a permanent role with a leading social housing contractor. The position is site-based in Preston or Manchester, overseeing retrofit and decarbonisation works across several streams.

You will liaise with clients, support the Site Manager, manage programming, safety and KPI delivery, and report to senior management on progression and risks.

Qualifications

• Background in social housing refurbishment or decarbonisation.
• Knowledge of PAS regulations.
• CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid and driving licence.
• Retrofit experience.

Responsibilities

• Embed client requirements in every aspect of the project and provide value to ensure quality delivery.
• Assist the Site Manager with on-site issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Liaise with the client regularly and act as the company representative.
• Attend senior management meetings to report progression of sites.
• Discuss buildability and design issues.
• Manage and champion Health & Safety on site.
• Program and plan all works; devise build programmes.
• Recruit staff and organise trades and labour; ensure KPI achievement.

Job description

A well-established and rapidly expanding Social Housing Contractor are currently looking to recruit a Projects Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

The company has gone from strength to strength each year and has an exciting growth plan in place, with a healthy pipeline of work across the North West region.

The company specialises in retrofit and decarbonisation of tenanted Social Housing properties, with a goal to reduce fuel poverty and the carbon footprint.

They are seeking a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This will either be based on a site in Preston or in Manchester. Each project has several work streams within it and the company are completing various retrofit measures on each project. Typical works will consist of EWI, Air Source Heat Pump Installation, Windows and Doors, IWI, Roofline works.

Responsibilities

• Embedding the client's requirements in every aspect of the project, offering the clients added value to give them the assurance that they can trust the Contractor in providing a quality start-to-finish delivery
• Assisting the Site Manager with any problems or concerns on site
• Regular liaison with the client, discussing progress and acting as the company representative
• Senior management meetings on progression of sites making sure directors are aware of each development
• Discussing build-ability and design issues
• Managing and championing Health & Safety
• Programming and planning all works
• Devising a build programme
• Recruitment of staff, organising trades and labour
• Ensuring KPI's are being achieved

Requirements

• A strong background in the social housing refurbishment sector/decarbonisation sector with knowledge of working under PAS regulations.
• CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, Drivers License
• Retrofit experience
