Job summary

Rolls-Royce Derby is seeking a Chief Project Engineer to own and deliver packages of work to cost, quality and schedule for the whole product, providing governance for the engineering team and acting as a delegate for the Chief Engineer.

You will lead system engineering efforts across the lifecycle, coordinate with customers and airframers, and drive risk management and continuous improvement within the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least degree level or equivalent industry experience.
• Member of a professional body and working towards a Registered Project Professional (RPP) qualification or equivalent.
• Substantial experience in managing projects/programmes of increasing complexity.
• Experience delivering all stages of a project lifecycle and leading multi-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical programme of works that delivers a product fully compliant to requirements and integrated with the programme.
• Lead the change management process within engineering to manage level of change.
• Establish and maintain governance to ensure quality, schedule and cost targets.
• Manage the associated budget and deployed resources for the portfolio.
• Lead regular customer forums to commit delivery schedules of the portfolio.
