Job summary

Aureos is seeking a Project Director to lead the demolition and decommissioning of the Dungeness Boilers project in the UK. This senior role carries full accountability for safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery within a highly regulated nuclear environment, including radiological assessment, asbestos removal and complex demolition activities.

The role requires strategic leadership across design engineering, radiological and waste management, along with strong governance,

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or Demolition practitioner.
Chartered professional with CPD.
Knowledge of Nuclear environments beneficial.
Experience with NEC contracts and major infrastructure programmes.
Demonstrable senior leadership on large, regulated projects.

Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership for the Dungeness Boilers programme.
Define and implement the overall programme delivery strategy.
Establish a governance framework with disciplined decision‑making and performance management.
Lead mobilisation, deplant, demolition and handover activities.
Ensure safety, compliance and environmental management across the programme.
Maintain stakeholder engagement with client, regulators and partners.
Drive value via cost control, procurement and commercial governance.
Represent the project in governance boards and industry forums.
