Job summary

Aureos is seeking a Project Director to lead the Dungeness boilers decommissioning programme, a large national infrastructure project. You will own strategic delivery, safety culture and multi-stakeholder engagement across design, engineering, radiological and demolition workstreams.

You will drive governance, commercial performance and risk management, coordinating a complex workforce and ensuring on-time delivery within safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years’ experience delivering major infrastructure programmes.
• Proven track record as Project Director or equivalent on complex infra.
• Experience in demolition, decommissioning and nuclear environments.
• Strong leadership with governance, safety and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for the Dungeness Boilers programme, aligning objectives with client requirements.
• Lead major infrastructure delivery, including deplant, demolition and handover.
• Operate within governance structures with NRS, Aureos and stakeholders.
• Manage commercial and financial performance, including budgeting and changes.
• Foster safety culture and disciplined programme controls across teams.
