Job summary

Aureos is seeking a Project Director to lead the Dungeness Boilers decommissioning programme, ensuring safe, on‑time and financially robust delivery in a nuclear environment. You will drive governance, design to execution, and complex stakeholder engagement with national bodies.

Lead a large, multi‑discipline team across engineering, demolition, radiological work and project controls, upholding stringent safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years’ experience delivering major infrastructure programmes in the UK.
• Experience as Project Director, Delivery Director or equivalent on complex programmes.
• Experience in nuclear decommissioning, demolition and highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for the delivery of the Dungeness Boilers programme and align objectives.
• Define the programme delivery strategy, governance framework and procurement approach.
• Lead governance bodies and ensure disciplined delivery across engineering, commercial and safety functions.
• Manage commercial and financial performance including budget control and cash management.
• Engage with government stakeholders and maintain stakeholder confidence.
• Foster a safety-first, collaborative culture across Aureos and partners.
