Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency is seeking a Production Manager for Poole to lead from the front and drive delivery, quality, productivity and budget outcomes. This senior role moves the numbers and demands strategic and hands-on leadership in a manufacturing or workshop environment.

You will oversee teams, drive improvements, manage costs and risks, maintain stock control, facilities, and ISO 9001/14001 compliance, supported by a technical qualification and recognised supervisory credentials.

Qualifications

• A proven track record in production management within a manufacturing or service workshop environment.
• A technical qualification equivalent to a HND or Degree, or equivalent experience in a technical production environment
• A recognised management or supervisory qualification, or equivalent workshop training
• Strong commercial acumen and evidence of leading organisational change
• Confident use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
• A full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop team leaders and the supervisory team, including recruitment, performance reviews and weekly briefings
• Drive a structured continuous improvement programme, using performance data to deliver measurable gains
• Take overall responsibility for operational performance, managing costs and risks against financial and operational targets
• Oversee stock control, including weekly Kanban checks and accurate part scanning
• Manage facilities, building maintenance, external contractors and third-party service providers
• Ensure waste management, testing and calibration meet ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
