Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a senior Production Manager to set the standard, lead from the front and drive results across delivery, quality, productivity and budget.

This high-impact role requires decisive leadership to move the numbers and oversee a workshop operation in the Poole area.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in production management within manufacturing or service workshop environments.
• Technical qualification equivalent to a HND or Degree, or equivalent experience.
• Recognised management or supervisory qualification, or equivalent training.
• Strong commercial acumen and evidence of leading organisational change.
• Confident use of Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop team leaders and supervisory staff, including recruitment, performance reviews and weekly briefings.
• Drive a structured continuous improvement programme using performance data to deliver gains.
• Take overall responsibility for operational performance, managing costs and risks against targets.
• Oversee stock control, including Kanban checks and accurate part scanning.
• Manage facilities, building maintenance, external contractors and third-party service providers.
• Ensure waste management, testing and calibration meet ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

As a Production Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Strong commercial acumen and evidence of leading organisational change
• Confident use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
• A full UK driving licence
