Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a Senior Product Support Engineer to join the Separation Equipment team. You will provide advanced technical support, act as the escalation point for complex issues, and collaborate with Field Service Engineers, Sales, Projects, Workshop and Spare Parts teams across the UK.

You will work to optimise commissioning, performance and CBM activities, travel as needed, and train engineers and customers on technical topics.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification via apprenticeship, degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years' experience with separation equipment in a Service Engineer, Technical Support or Product Support capacity.
• Strong understanding of troubleshooting, commissioning and equipment performance optimisation.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, manuals and engineering documentation.
• Ability to make sound engineering decisions independently.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience delivering technical training would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of CBM or predictive maintenance techniques would be beneficial.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and digital service tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support across the separation equipment portfolio.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues and equipment breakdowns.
• Work closely with OEMs and engineering teams to develop solutions and resolve technical challenges.
• Support the commissioning, optimisation and performance improvement of customer equipment.
• Review and triage technical support tickets, ensuring issues are managed and escalated appropriately.
• Identify recurring failures and provide recommendations to improve equipment reliability.
• Lead and coordinate complex service activities both on customer sites and remotely.
• Deliver technical training to engineers, service teams and customers.
• Support project installations with specialist technical expertise.
• Set up, monitor and analyse CBM systems.
• Produce CBM reports and provide recommendations based on equipment performance data.
• Build strong relationships with customers, internal teams and equipment manufacturers.
• Contribute to improved service delivery and identify opportunities to enhance customer support.
