About the job:

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our world-class Technical/Process Safety team as a Senior Safety Engineer. You will lead and support various projects, develop junior engineers, and enhance your technical expertise. Supporting clients in high hazard industries such as Oil & Gas, Low Carbon, and Renewables, you will help manage safety commissions and develop our capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support project delivery and develop into the Technical Lead role.
2. Conduct safety scopes including consequence analysis, QRA, Formal Safety Assessments, and Safety Case/COMAH.
3. Author technical reports.
4. Lead and mentor junior engineers.
5. Prepare proposals and cost estimations for new work.
6. Ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, and schedule.
7. Engage with clients and build strong relationships.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

1. Degree in a relevant engineering or related field.
2. Chartered with a relevant institution.
3. Experience in Process/Technical Safety, preferably in the Energy sector.
4. Strong understanding of safety techniques like QRA and consequence analysis, with experience using PHAST software.
5. Knowledge of relevant legislation such as COMAH and Safety Case Regulations.
6. Proven ability to produce and review technical reports.
7. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
8. Experience in client-facing roles and contributing to bids and proposals.
