Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking a Principal Process Design Engineer to lead the development of innovative and sustainable process solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the UK. The role requires delivering technically robust designs from concept to detailed design while maintaining governance and quality.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and influence project strategy, bids and delivery, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and whole-life cost

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience delivering process engineering solutions within the UK water and wastewater sector.
• Strong understanding of water and sewage treatment principles, technologies and operations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering design projects.
• Ability to develop innovative and cost-effective treatment solutions to meet client and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of complex process engineering solutions for water and wastewater projects.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop innovative, practical and risk-balanced treatment process solutions.
• Ensure designs are safe, sustainable, compliant and operationally efficient.
• Produce and review process calculations, mass balances, PFDs and P&IDs.
