Job summary

MWH Treatment Limited seeks a Principal Process Design Engineer to lead innovative water and wastewater process solutions across UK projects. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, drive technical governance, and mentor engineers while ensuring safety, quality and compliance.

This role offers flexible working within the UK, with a strong emphasis on delivering sustainable, commercially sound treatment designs and supporting major bids.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant UK water and wastewater sector experience delivering process engineering solutions.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering design projects.
• Ability to develop innovative, cost-effective treatment solutions to meet client/regulatory requirements.
• Experience producing and reviewing process calculations, hydraulic assessments, PFDs, P&IDs and technical specs.
• Strong understanding of related disciplines and excellent stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of complex process engineering solutions for water and wastewater projects.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams and guide design governance.
• Develop robust process solutions from concept through detailed design.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to growth of technical capability.
• Identify and manage technical risks, ensuring quality, safety and compliance.
• Support major bids and contribute to delivery strategies.
