Job summary

MWH Treatment Limited is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for a UK-based role with flexible working. You will lead process design across major water and wastewater projects, delivering robust and buildable solutions that meet regulatory standards and long-term performance goals.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, support optioneering and design development, and mentor junior engineers while delivering safe, sustainable infrastructure for customers and communities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in process design within water and wastewater.
• Ability to produce process calculations, flow diagrams and design reports.
• Experience supporting optioneering, feasibility and detailed design.
• Chartered status or working towards Chartership preferred.
• Ability to present technical proposals clearly and commercially.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design tasks to agreed technical standards, budgets and programmes.
• Develop process calculations, philosophies, plant layouts and design documentation.
• Support optioneering, process selection and technical decision-making across schemes.
• Review and assure outputs within your area of authority.
• Coordinate design with mechanical, civil, digital, hydraulic and commissioning teams.
• Identify process risks and opportunities for optimisation across lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers, graduates and apprentices.
• Build strong client relationships and engage with suppliers and site teams.
