Job summary

MWH Treatment in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to provide authoritative technical leadership across water and wastewater projects.

You will lead design delivery, mentor engineers, influence technical strategy, support bids, and ensure safe, compliant and cost-effective electrical solutions.

Collaborate with discipline leads, clients and suppliers to deliver high-quality outcomes across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (BEng, MEng or equivalent).
• Significant experience delivering electrical engineering design solutions within the UK water and wastewater industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems in water and sewage treatment facilities.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering design projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the delivery of complex electrical engineering designs within the water and wastewater sector.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop innovative, practical and risk-balanced engineering solutions.
• Ensure all electrical designs are safe, compliant, buildable and cost-effective.
• Produce, review and approve electrical calculations, specifications, reports, drawings and design documentation.
• Support major project bids and contribute to successful project delivery strategies.
• Act as a technical reviewer and maintain high standards of governance and quality assurance.
• Manage technical delivery balancing programme, cost, quality and resources.
• Identify, assess and manage technical risks proactively.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and designers to develop technical capability.
