Overview

Stantec’s Environmental Team is seeking a Senior or Principal Environmental Advisor/Scientist to join our team. We are open to applicants from all UK office locations and may consider part-time work for the right candidate. The role involves supporting the delivery of client and project environmental objectives and targets, with a focus on environmental planning reports, EIA screening and scoping, environmental management studies and audits, and advising clients on environmental and sustainability issues.

Responsibilities
  • Support and assist in the delivery of client and project environmental objectives and targets.
  • Assist the EIA and environmental management teams by conducting environmental planning reports, EIA screening and scoping, environmental management studies, and audits.
  • Advise clients on environmental and sustainability issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Science, or Environmental Planning that is accredited by the relevant professional body (CIWEM, IEMA, or RTPI).
  • Chartered status or actively applying in the next 6 months.
  • Experience as a client-focused Environmental Advisor with capability in advising on routes to consent, critical environmental risks and opportunities, EIA, environmental management studies, and audits.
  • Experience analyzing and presenting data using geographic information systems (GIS).
  • General knowledge of ecology, flood risk, town planning, and water resources is beneficial.
  • Location: UK; potential part-time arrangements for the right candidate.
