A global energy and commodities information provider is seeking a professional to oversee regional market coverage related to carbon markets. This role requires developing relationships with industry contacts and publishing daily price assessments. The ideal candidate has over 3 years of industry experience, a graduate degree in finance or journalism, and a deep understanding of commodities affected by Energy Transition themes. The Role: The candidate will be responsible for regional market coverage, acting as an ambassador for the company's Energy Transition activities and publication of daily price assessments. This person will work as part of a team that produces commentaries, news and digital content, and price assessments related to their regional coverage of carbon markets to help customers make informed trading and risk management decisions.
The Team: The Carbon team analyses market activity and data and incorporates market knowledge into developing and publishing price assessments that shall be used by clients. They also report on spot market and forward market prices and the factors moving markets as they develop. The team is global and collaborative and engages with the market through various mediums, including commentaries, stories, podcasts, blogs, and videos.
The Impact: You\'ll be part of a team that produces actionable and informative content in the fast-growing and hugely relevant Energy transition. While early in the market development, we aspire to have relevant benchmarks around the world that will be vital to our customers as they provide price transparency to physical markets. The content will inform customers regarding supply and demand developments, commodity flows, price trends, and infrastructure and regulatory issues and help develop a community around Platts Carbon coverage.
