About the Role

NHS Fife is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Practice Pharmacist to lead and enhance the delivery of pharmaceutical care within primary care settings across Dunfermline. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape and develop the pharmacotherapy service at a cluster level, working closely with GP practices to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.

As a Senior Practice Pharmacist, you will:

Lead a dedicated team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services across multiple GP practices.
Act as an independent prescriber, managing complex medication-related issues.
Play a key role in service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide mentorship and training to junior pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will:

Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Hold an independent prescribing qualification.
Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Have experience in service development and the ability to drive change.
Ideally have previous experience in primary care settings.

You will be based primarily in a select number of GP practices within Dunfermline, with occasional travel across the area.
