Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Pharmacist - Oncology / Haematology based at University Hospital Crosshouse. This is a 12-month fixed-term post to cover maternity leave.
What you will do:
Join the Cancer Clinical pharmacy team in NHS Ayrshire & Arran to deliver clinical oncology services to inpatients and outpatients in Ayrshire and Arran. Become an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, providing clinical verification and enhanced roles such as non-medical prescribing within breast, colorectal, urology, and haematological malignancies. Work closely with regional colleagues on protocol and guideline development. Develop experience in oncology and haematological malignancies through a rotational program.

Knowledge, training, and/or experience required:
Interest in specialising in Cancer Care and a desire to advance clinical cancer pharmacy services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively within a team. Full training will be provided for those without clinical oncology experience. Support for developing a practice prescribing certificate is available. NHS Ayrshire & Arran benefits include automated dispensing and electronic prescribing for chemotherapy and inpatient/outpatient services.

Hours:
30 hours per week. Participation in weekend, public holiday, and extended hours rotas is required. The base site is University Hospital Crosshouse for on-call, weekend, and late-night rotas. May require working over 7 days or extended hours in accordance with AFC terms and conditions.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A valid car license and ownership are essential.
